Listener's Choice - 3D African Wall Art
This painting was born from Saturday afternoons in Ethiopia, where I sat with my big brothers and our neighbors, all of us gathered around the radio, listening to American music from the 1970s. There was a program called Listener's Choice. We did not see where the music came from. We just felt it. It traveled across oceans, across cultures, and somehow, it reached us in Addis Ababa.
The lines in this piece move like sound in motion, layered, restless, and alive. The figures are not fixed because memory is not fixed. It shifts, it evolves, and it stays with you in unexpected ways. This piece is about connection. It is about distance that disappears. It is about how something unseen, like music, can shape your world, your imagination, and your identity.
Painted in acrylic and metallic paint on a 12x12 3D African wall art on canvas. One of a kind and ready to hang.
